Modern medicine is certainly a marvel, capable of helping ailments whose curability was once entirely unheard of. An unfortunate side effect of such powerful modern medicine, however, is, well, the side effects. This is where research-based Clinicians New Zealand comes in.

What is Clinicians?

Clinicians is a New Zealand-based nutritional health product created through extensive research and certified clinical trials. However, it stands out not just for the quality of its supplements, but because Clinicians products are designed to support your other medicinal needs, not compete against them.

The idea first came up in 1997 with two pharmacists, Mike Kushman and Denis Kay. They believed that the "current pharmaceutical model was limited," in that it could not provide their customers' bodies with all round wellness. Though pharmaceutical medicine certainly helps with specific symptoms, it can also leave that same body drained of nutrition and unbalanced.

After researching the subject on a number of levels, they devised the Clinicians range of products.

What are the benefits of Clinicians vitamins?

Medicinal drugs can affect the body in a variety of ways. For example, when a doctor cannot find a psychological reason for any mood-related symptoms you may be suffering, it's possible that a certain type of medication you are taking is affecting your brain. These drugs can come in a variety of forms, too, ranging anywhere from acne medicine - such as accutane, to calcium-channel blockers used for treating high blood pressure.

In this specific example, you might just need to be adding in beneficial nutrients to your brain to help lift mood, rather than take anti-depressants or other mood-altering drugs (on top of your prior prescription). Taking a 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) supplement would help, as this chemical is a key intermediary between converting food into serotonin.

What is serotonin? The University of Maryland Medical Centre explains that it "helps regulate mood and behaviour."

As such, "5-HTP may have a positive effect on sleep, mood, anxiety, appetite, and pain sensation," says the institute.

This is just one way that utilising a Clinicians nutrient supplement can help you when your body is suffering side effects from prescription drugs. These helpful products can also include nutrients and minerals such as D-Mannose (useful if you suffer urinary tract infections easily), guggul lipid (for high cholesterol sufferers) and plenty more.

Here are some examples from the Clinicians supplement range, and a bit about how they could help you.

For your mood: Clinicians 5-HTP Mood Care capsules come loaded with the beneficial chemical of its namesake to help with emotional side effects. Sourced from naturally sustainable products, this medicinal support product can help normalise your mood, which in turn could relieve tension headaches and so forth.

For your bladder: Those suffering from urinary tract infections and other bacteria-related bladder problems should consider Clinicians Bladder Support powder. This product contains D-Mannose, a polysaccharide that can prevent bacterial growth on the walls of your urinary tract, helping keep it clean and promote healthy bladder function.

For your immune system: One of the common side effects of antibiotics and other harsh medicines is the reduction in good bacteria in your digestive tract, leading to higher risk of infection and disease. By taking a regular supplement of Clinicians Del Immune capsules, you would be adding in more of these healthy microorganisms, namely Lactobacillus rhamnosus DV. This strain bolsters your immune system, helping to produce antibodies and cytokines.
