Active Ingredient: 5-HTP

5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is an amino acid metabolite of tryptophan and is vital chemical found in serotonin in the brain. A neurotransmitter, serotonin supports a variety of physiological functions in the central nervous system, including more evened sleeping patterns, improved appetite control and balanced internal temperature maintenance. In addition, it works in the management of sexual behaviour and feelings of pain. Platelets, used in blood clotting, also utilize serotonin even if they are cells found outside of the brain.
Based on recent studies, 5-HTP from supplements uplifts one’s mood and eases tension from headaches, resulting to an improved disposition. As a result, it maintains regulation of normal body functions when a lack of 5-HTP arises.
