The human body has a remarkable ability to heal itself, both externally and internally. However, sometimes problems can occur that need that little extra push to ensure optimal wellness is achieved.

Though modern medicine certainly has its benefits, there are more natural alternatives available as well. Many of these are grounded in science, but have a focus on holistic, sustainable and clean healing, rather than through the use of synthetic products.

If you want the natural alternative for your ailment, consider Weleda.

About Weleda

Weleda is an internationally renowned company that has been around for decades - nine, to be exact. Since 1921, when the company was founded, Weleda skin care products have been used the world over to nourish, rejuvenate and refresh the skin, no matter the user's age.

The company was founded in Switzerland by a pair of doctors, Rudolph Steiner and Ita Wegman, who developed a special type of medicine. Anthroposophic medicine, as it is called, is a style of healing where the patient is encouraged to view his or her body as a part of the entire universe, linked intrinsically to nature. It utilises not just all natural ingredients, but a spiritual approach to the body as well.

How Weleda products can benefit you

The values that Weleda upholds are not just beneficial for the human body, but for the environment as well.

This company is not a heartless corporation bent on harvesting the ingredients they need at whatever cost to nature. It prides itself in supporting sustainability, and forging relationships between its own team and fair trade growers. Its sustainability strategy focuses on sourcing raw materials, cultivating them respectfully, conserving water and monitoring any effects this process has on the climate.

Because of this, each and every Weleda natural skin care product is of a certain quality that provides a wonderful diversity in health benefits.

For example, Weleda Nipple Care Cream comes packed with ingredients such as aloe vera, which has numerous skin healing properties already associated with it. Mayo Clinic suggests that early research shows it as an effective natural moisturiser, which is backed up by a study published by the US National Library of Medicine suggesting much the same thing.

"Our results show that freeze-dried aloe vera extract is a natural effective ingredient for improving skin hydration," wrote the authors.

With Weleda, you also have access to ingredients such as avocado, beeswax, jojoba, avena sativa, Scotch thistle, witch hazel.
