Canesten Once Dose Pessary Plus Cream is a highly effectual single dosage antifungal cream with enhanced formulation for the treatment of vaginal thrush. Plus, it is used for treating infections caused by yeast and fungi.

Vaginal thrush occurs as an inflammation of the vagina, as well as vaginal discharge. This infection is caused by the Candida species, specifically Candida albicans.

Canesten Once Dose Pessary Plus Cream delivers the antifungal benefits of clotrimazole. Clotrimazole causes the cell membranes of Candida species to sop working. It blocks the production of egosterol, a component needed in the cell membranes. Holes then start to perforate the cell membranes, freely allowing substances to go in and out of the cell. The cell then loses its most important components. Thus, the fungi die and the infection is treated.

How it works?

Canesten Once Dose Pessary Plus Cream should be inserted into the vaginal opening so clotrimazole is delivered directly into the infected area using the applicator. Even a single dose of the pessay can treat the infection. Application of cream on the external area of the vagina may provide symptomatic relief from soreness, inflammation and itchiness.

Directions

Insert the pessary gently and deeply into the vagina at bedtime using the applicator provided.
