DNA testing now available!! In our strive to provide you with the best solutions for your health needs, we are now able to do a quick & easy, non-invasive swab test to provide personalized recommendations and treatments.

What is involved

You will be required to come into our retail store pharmacy for a quick, painless swab to be taken from both cheeks. No eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes prior to your swab is required for accurate results. Your swab will be sent away for analysis and you will be notified when your results come back. A follow-up appointment will then be made with our health practitioner to discuss your results.

6 Different DNA Testing Profiles are Available:

  1. B12 and Folate Profile

Vitamin B12 and Folate are essential vitamins required by the body to form healthy red blood cells, repair tissue and synthesize DNA. These 2 vitamins must be obtained from the diet, however certain genetic variations in individuals can affect absorption and utilization, meaning supplementation with standard B12 and folate supplements may be ineffective.

This profile is best suited for:
    • Vitamin B12 and folate deficiency
    • Fatigue
    • Anaemia
    • Autoimmune disease
    • Depression and anxiety
    • Migraines
  2. Essential Nutrient Profile

Eating a fully balanced diet can be difficult in today’s busy world and despite consuming nutritious food, not all nutrients are absorbed and transported by the body effectively. Correcting areas of nutritional deficiency is important to allow the body to be able to function as its peak performance.

This profile is best suited for:
    • addressing current nutritional and health status
    • improving overall wellbeing and longevity
    • preventing
    • and reducing disease risk
  3. Migraine Profile

Suffering from migraines can have a huge impact on our lives and it is more common than you think, with approximately 1 in 10 people suffering from this debilitating disorder. Several gene variations have been shown to affect susceptibility to migraines, migraine frequency and severity.

This profile is best suited for:
    • Migraine with aura
    • Migraine without aura
    • Hypertension
    • Fibromyalgia
    • Depression and anxiety
  4. Vitamin D Profile

Vitamin D is an essential nutrient required by the body for cardiovascular health, regulating mood, immune status and the most commonly known function, calcium absorption and bone health. New studies now indicate that vitamin D may also affect the overall risk and development of chronic conditions. Genetics influence the way vitamin D is made and used in the body and knowing which gene variants are present in individuals helps to determine the right dose and form of vitamin D required.

This profile is best suited for:
    • Bone loss and low calcium levels
    • Low vitamin D levels
    • Immune deficiency and frequent colds & flu
    • Hair loss
    • Impaired wound healing
    • Family history of cancer or cardiovascular disease
    • Depression
  5. Preconception Profile

Ensuring the body is at its optimal health is important to have the best chance of conception, a healthy pregnancy & baby and recovery after giving birth. Being able to identify a woman’s gene variants that influence fertility and conception means being able to make the modifications necessary for the best pregnancy.

This profile is best suited for:
    • Couples having difficulty conceiving
    • History of infertility
    • History of miscarriage
    • Optimizing pre-conception health
    • History of mood disorders, depression and post-natal depression
