Therapik® relieves the pain and itch from bug bites and insect stings with the direct application of heat for 20-30 seconds or less. The heat denatures the venom and saliva proteins left behind after a sting or bite, causing the pain and itch. While Therapik® also relieves pain, itch and swelling by increasing localized blood flow to the bite or sting location.
The Therapik® is intended to be used to deliver heat to a localized area of the body in order to relieve the pain associated with stings from insects and sea creatures that deliver thermolabile venom. Such bugs, and insects and sea creatures include bees, wasps, hornets, chiggers, no see-ums and jellyfish. In addition, the soothing heat also provides effective relief from the itching and irritation due to flea and mosquito bites and contact with stinging nettles.
Therapik® is a small, portable, hand-held, battery-powered device. It measures approximately 3cm x 3cm x 10cm and weighs less than four ounces, including the battery. The heat is initiated by use of a simple, non-locking, finger or thumb activated on/off switch. Therapik® eliminates the use of drugs, messy topical creams and sprays. Can be shared and used on children over the age of 3 when adult supervised and works on pets too.
Works for mosquitos, hornets, bees, fire ants, jellyfish and most stinging or biting insects. Therapik® is not indicated for the treatment of spider, scorpion or snake bites, since these creatures do not deliver thermolabile venom. The Therapik® is also not intended to replace prompt medical attention for those individuals with bee-sting or other similar allergies.
Warnings
In the case of known allergies to insect stings, the user is instructed to seek prompt medical attention. The user is also instructed to consult a physician if pain from the sting or bite persists.
- Dry application area before using Therapik®. Do not use on or in the eye area or on mucous membranes (i.e. inside the mouth)
- Therapik® does not replace treatment for allergenic reactions to insect stings and bites, consult a physician immediately.

- Do not use over sensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation
- Therapik® is ineffective against the venom of scorpions and snakes.
