Maltofer Iron Tablets are used for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency in both adolescents and adults where the use of ferrous iron supplements is not tolerated, or can’t be used. Maltofer Tablets are clinically proven to correct low iron levels. Maltofer has less constipation and less gastrointestinal side effects compared to ferrous sulfate iron.
Maltofer Iron Tablets contain 100 mg of iron as 370 mg iron polymaltose. Maltofer Tablets provide a therapeutic dose of iron and should be used when ferrous iron supplements are not tolerated, or are otherwise inappropriate.
Directions
For treatment of iron deficiency in adults and adolescents (12 years and older), take 1-2 tablets (100-200 mg iron) daily, preferably with food.
