Directions/Application Instructions

WHAT YOU NEED

There are a few things that you will need on hand when applying the product. flannel to exfoliate your skin or a specific exfoliating product a hair band to keep your hair off your face and neck soap and nail brush to scrub your fingernails thoroughly a Self Tan unit of PIZ BUIN? (select the most appropriate in "the right product for you" section.) a pair of plastic gloves to help prevent streaky hands.

WHERE

The best place to be when applying the product is in the bathroom, since you will need to: exfoliate before application be close to a mirror use the sink to wash your hands. However, make sure that the room is dry, and not too warm nor steamy.

Before Application

Take a shower or bath to thoroughly clean and exfoliate your skin, using a flannel or a specific exfoliating product. Pay special attention to your feet, ankles, knees and elbows. It is advisable to wax/shave your legs several hours before applying self tan, to avoid irritation.

Make sure your skin is perfectly dry since damp skin will affect the evenness of the end result. Apply your usual body lotion to your feet, ankles, knees and elbows.

During application

Start applying PIZ BUIN Self Tan to your legs with circular movements to avoid streaking. Do not put too much product on your knees and ankles. Avoid toes, heels and the sides of your feet for a more natural result. Do one leg at a time.

Wash your hands carefully - palms, fingers, between fingers, sides. If it takes you more than 5 minutes to apply the product on one leg, wash your hands and then continue with the other leg. It is advisable to wash your hands periodically due to the fast drying properties of PIZ BUIN Self Tan.

Now you can start to apply your PIZ BUIN Self Tan on the upper part of your body.

Complete application to your upper body before moving onto your arms. Stop at your neck and make sure you don't forget the sides of your body. Wash your hands carefully - palms, fingers, between fingers, sides. If it takes you more than 5 minutes to apply the product, wash your hands, then continue. Apply the self tanner to your arms. Try to put less product on your elbows to avoid this area becoming too dark.

Apply the self tan to your face and neck. Make sure you avoid your eyebrows and hairline. For a natural looking result, don't forget the back of your neck and the area behind your ears.

Finally, rub lotion around wrists and back of hands blending into the arms to give a more natural looking finish.

After application

Wash your hands carefully - palms, fingers, between fingers, sides. Use a nail brush to thoroughly clean the area around nails.

Avoid contact with fabric until the product is fully absorbed. Wait at least 30 minutes before bathing, taking a shower or swimming. Don't forget to apply a sunscreen if you are going outside during the day.
