Very good and really works Review by Edwina Burke
Overall Rating I, like many type II diabetics, am following the Newcastle Diet. This is a short term diet to shock the body into losing body fat importantly around the kidneys and pancreas. In the original scientific diet Optifast was used. It is scientifically balanced and nutrionally sound. Whilst following the vlc diet and eating just my three drinks a day and 2 cups of non starchy veggies I have lost a stone. I am now in maintainence and will recommense for another 8 weeks. My HbA1c is within normal range and I am off all medications (including insulin!!)
Optifast mixes well and is creamy. I am not a lover of chocolate, so coffee is my favourite. Some more variety of flavours would be nice. You can add flavouring to the vanilla one. So 5/5 but feel I can only award 4/5 due to limited range.. (Posted on 12/04/12) -

Overall Rating Great to get if you want to see what flavours are available. Not so good if you already have chocolate and vanilla. The product range does not allow you to buy the other floavours in bulk. They all taste good. (Posted on 29/03/12)
