New Zealand Products

Is there anywhere else in the world that packs beautiful valleys, breathtaking mountain ranges, beaches, geysers, populated cities, pastoral farmland and expansive lakes into just 268,000 square kilometres? We don't think so. But New Zealand isn't just beautiful and surprisingly diverse, it's also the source of a variety of products that can improve your health and wellness routine.

We offer a plethora of different NZ organic health products to suit your needs. These items also make for great gift ideas for every loved one on your list.

Manuka honey and other bee products

Manuka honey is one of New Zealand's most famous products. This remarkable (and tasty) honey is derived from bees that have fed off the nectar of the manuka tree. Its taste is distinct, and the honey itself may hold many benefits for human health.

Honey is a natural cough suppressant and throat soother. Its unique consistency allows it to coat the throat, which can stave off irritation that leads to excessive coughing and hoarseness. Its soothing effects may also help reduce the pain and stinging of minor burns. An enzyme in honey produces hydrogen peroxide when met with oxygen, giving honey an antibacterial component. This allows honey to prevent infection in burns and other non-serious abrasions. Thanks to its antibacterial qualities, honey may also provide a natural boost to your immune system.

Bee venom is another popular bee product that may have medicinal benefits. Bee venom has been used to treat various maladies in both Europe and Asia since ancient times. In fact, Hippocrates used bee venom to treat arthritis!

Today, many people use bee venom to treat chronic injuries, burns, shingles, gout and hay fever.

We also offer other bee products, such as royal jelly and bee pollen, which many nutritionists hail as a superfood. Pollen is made up of 40 per cent protein, making it particularly nourishing. Some advocates state that taking bee pollen supplements can improve endurance, boost the immune system and aid in digestion.

Placenta products

Did you know that most mammals eat their placenta after giving birth? In traditional Chinese culture, placentophagy (the practise of eating the placenta) has been commonplace for hundreds of years.

The theory behind placenta ingestion is that, due to the fact that most mammals consume placenta post-birth, it is a natural process that provides health benefits to mothers and babies. Many advocates say that it reduces risk of postpartum depression, and one study found that placenta consumption increased breast size and breast milk production after birth.

Some people also apply placental matter topically to enjoy is skin benefits.

We offer both deer and sheep placenta, both of which are known to be similar to those of humans.

Other NZ natural health products

We also offer a variety of other NZ natural products.

Lanolin is an intensely moisturising, waxy substance that can be used to heal and protect extremely sensitive skin. It is often used in nipple creams for breastfeeding mums. Need a little boost in the bedroom? You may want to try supplementing with oyster. This seafood is a known aphrodisiac, and also contains beneficial nutrients such as vitamin A, zinc, iron, calcium and vitamin B12.

Colostrum is manufactured by breastfeeding mammals, and is a core component of the newborn human diet. It also contains a variety of proteins, antibodies, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. Our colostrum supplements are made from healthy New Zealand cows.

These and a variety of other products - all from the Land of the Long White Cloud - may help support your health in a fresh and natural way.
