Purpose/Usage:
Beconase is used for prophylaxis and the short-term treatment of perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis including hayfever, and vasomotor rhinitis. It works by reducing swelling and inflammation in the nose.

Beconase Hayfever will not cause drowsiness.
Beconase Hayfever starts to work immediately, but may take 2-3 days to build up to its maximum protective effect. Beconase Hayfever is not intended to give rapid relief of your nasal symptoms. Beconase Hayfever controls the underlying disorders responsible for your attacks so it is important to use it regularly.
Beconase Dosage:
Adults and Children over 12 years of age:
The recommended dose is two sprays into each nostril twice daily. Once control has been established, it may be possible to maintain control with fewer sprays. A dosage regimen of one spray into each nostril morning and evening has been shown to be efficacious in some patients. However, should the symptoms recur, patients should revert to the recommended dosage of two Beconase sprays into each nostril morning and evening.
Total daily administration should not normally exceed 400mcg. For full therapeutic benefit regular Beconase usage is essential as beconase controls the underlying disorders responsible for hayfever attacks. Beconase starts to work immediately, but may take 2-3 days to build up to its maximum protective effect.
The minimum dose should be used at which effective control of symptoms is maintained.
Children under twelve years old:
There is insufficient clinical data to recommend use Beconase allergy spray..

Beconase Precautions
You should consult your doctor before using Beconase Nasal Spray if:
You are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
Had recent nasal surgery.
Have recently had systemic steroids
Have a tendency to nose bleeds
Have had previous allergies to Beconase
OTHER ADVICE:
If you know what causes the allergy then try to avoid it.
Discard the Beconase nasal spray 3 months after first using it.
If symptoms get worse or there is no improvement within 7 days come back to the pharmacy.
If any of the following occur - chest tightness, breathing difficulty, wheezing, itchy skin rash, visual disturbance or eye pain - see a doctor
If signs of nose, throat or sinus infection occur - see a doctor.
