Purpose/Usage
Features and Benefits:
•Used during the third trimester of pregnancy to facilitate childbirth.
•Prepares the uterus for labour.
•Facilitates childbirth.
Raspberry leaf has traditionally been used in pregnancy to help the mother prepare for the birth. It is thought that raspberry leaf may build up the strength of the uterine muscle, leading to an easier birth.
Raspberry leaf appears to have two different actions. It can help to relax uterine muscle, as well as initiate contractions. Research suggests that raspberry leaf may help reduce the risk of uncoordinated uterine action, by regulating the action of the uterine muscle.
