Dosage
Every 6-8 hours orally when necessary:
Adults and children over 12yrs 10ml
Children 6-12yrs 5ml
Children 2-6yrs 2.5ml
Do not exceed 4 doses in any 24 hour period.
Not recommended in children under 2yrs except on medical advice.
Ingredients
Each 10ml contains guaiphenesin 200mg
Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 30mg
Purpose/Usage
Robitussin DM provides symptomatic relief from the family's congested chests and coughs.
It contains an expectorant which increases the flow of natural secretions along the lower respiratory tract.
This liquefying effect helps to get it up and off your chest. It also contains a cough supressant to help quieten a cough for up to 6-7 hours on a single dose - letting you rest all night without that sleep-robbing cough.
Precautions
If cough persists for more than one week, tends to reoccur, or is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistant headache, consult a doctor.
If you have persistant or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema or cough accompanied by excessive phlegm, coonsult a doctor before taking this product.
If you are currently taking antidepressant medication or are hypersensitive to any ingredients, you should seek medical advice before taking this medication.
