Purpose/Usage
Advanced LIPOSOME technology for New Zealand conditions.
With one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, we need to look at new and better ways to protect our skin. DAYLONG is the first sunscreen to use the unique properties of LIPOSOMES. Using a natural soya lecithin, the LIPOSOMES in DAYLONG surround the UVA and UVB filters and helps them to bond with skin:
LIPOSOMES target the active substance (UV filters) to the appropriate skin layer thereby providing a continuous action of active ingredient.
By fixing the UV filters in the upper layers of the skin, DAYLONG not only provides exceptional sun protection, but also means that UV filters can not just be washed or rubbed off.
Aqueous sun care products, such as DAYLONG, that contain liposome encapsulated UV filters, can therefore provide unexpectedly good water-resistance without having to resort to heavy, oily cream bases that have poor cosmetic acceptability.
That's why DAYLONG gives all day sun protection from one application.
