Clear as Mud is pure bentonite mud and water lovingly taken from a special source high in the mountains of the north island of New Zealand.

How to use Clear as Mud
Using Clear as Mud is really easy and only takes about 15 minutes. People with sensitive skin should test the mud on a small area of their face before applying. Otherwise, simply tear open a sachet and apply a generous layer of mud to the face and forehead, avoiding the eyes. Allow the mud to harden for 10-15 minutes and then gently wash it all off with warm water. To cleanse and clear acne prone skin apply one sachet every second day until you see results. Then continue to apply Clear as Mud once a week to maintain a healthy, pimple free complexion.
The mud may make your skin pink after you wash it off. This surface stimulation is normal and soon disappears. When you first use Clear As Mud it is possible that your skin will get worse from drawing toxins out of irritated skin pores before it gets better.
It will get better! However, please stop using the product if problems persist. Once you have taken off the clay mask it is possible that your skin will be left with a pinkish glow. This is due to Clear as Mud briefly stimulating the blood flow beneath the skin.
What has mud got to do with acne?
Bentonite is made up of molecules, which are charged negatively. Bacteria, viruses, toxins, parasites and other impurities carry a positive charge. When the clay is put onto the skin it acts like a magnet drawing away all the dirt and storing it within the clay. When you wash the skin after using a clay mask, the bacteria which has been drawn out of the skin is taken away.
