Dosage
The suggested daily intake for Kyolic Liquid is one quarter of a teaspoon (or one gelatine capsule) three times daily for adults.
Our suggested daily intake for infants is as follows:
1-6 months: Start out at one to two drops in liquid (formula, juice or water), once a day, for one to two weeks. If well tolerated, the dosage may be gradually increased to about one eighth to one quarter of a teaspoon a day.
6-18 months: Start out at two to three drops in liquid, once a day for one to two weeks. If well tolerated, the dosage may be gradually increased to about one quarter to one half of a teaspoon a day.
18 months - 3 years: Start out at three to four drops in liquid, once a day, for one to two weeks. If well tolerated, the dosage may be gradually increased to about one quarter to one half of a teaspoon a day.
3+ years: Start out at one quarter of a teaspoon, once a day, for one to two weeks. If well tolerated, the dosage may gradually be increased to about one quarter to one half of a teaspoon a day.
After an infant/child has been taking Kyolic for a period, the liquid can be added to their food. The total daily amount of Kyolic may be given all at one time or in two or more servings.
The liquid formula is more readily absorbed and contains constituents not retained in the process to produce Kyolic powder. It was Kyolic Liquid that was used in the majority of Kyolic studies and is still the preferred form used in Japan.
